Aymar Jean Christian is an assistant professor of communication in the Media, Technology and Society program at Northwestern University (fall 2012). Christian researches new media and production — including web shows, vlogging, film and television. He has been published in Newsweek, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and The Root, and the academic journals ContinuumTransformative Works, First Monday, Cinema Journal and Communication, Culture and Critique. He is co-editor the blog, Hacktivision, which examines the future of television. He ran the small-but-proud Film@Perelman program and lectured on film at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. He occasionally films small video projects.
